Step-By-Step Guide
- First Download the J110MUBU0AOH1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware (J110MUBU0AOH1_J110MTFG0AOH1.zip)file and Odin tool(Odin3_v3.10.7.zip) for your Galaxy J1 ACE on the desktop of the PC from the above given links.
- Then Extract the Android 5.1.1 firmware file to get .tar.md5 extension and also extract the Odin .zip file as well.
- Turn OFF the Galaxy J1 ACE to boot into Download Mode.

- Download “Root Checker” app from Google Play Store to check on whether the device is rooted or not. Also, make sure that device is factory unlocked. Download ROM Manager from Google PLAY Store and install the latest custom recovery image.

- Connect your device to the computer with original USB cable and without extracting, place the above mentioned zip files in your computer. Once done, you now need to place the files in the root main folder itself in your device.
- Disconnect your device to enter the device in the recovery mode. Press Volume Up + Home and Power button together to see the Galaxy Ace text. Release all three buttons at the same time so as to enter the device in the recovery mode.
- In recovery mode, with the help of volume buttons, you need to select “Wipe Data/ Factory Reset” and choose yes to confirm the same
- Now, in recovery menu you will have to select “Advanced” and then choose “Wipe Dalvik Cache” for wiping all the data in your device.
- Once done, select “install zip from sd card” to choose the cm-11-20131227-UNOFFICIAL-cooper++XR.zip file which you have earlier placed this file in your device. Once selected, it will take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the update. Once done, device will either reboot or will land back to the recovery mode screen.
